REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION
- This competition is open to both local and international participants.
- A teams of not more than 4 members and 1 team leader (maximum total of 6 persons per team - Rm20 will be added per person) are welcome to take part in the competition.
- In the tertiary level and school category, the teams should not consist of more than 4 members and 1 teacher-in-charge (maximum: 6 persons per team - Rm20 will be added per person). A team leader should be chosen from the team members.
- Collaborative efforts with industries are encouraged without Intellectual Property (IP) infringement.
- The organizers have the right to reject any entry that not suitable for the competition or any incomplete requirement.
JUDGING CRITERIA
- A professional panel of judges will be appointed to evaluate the projects for the competition.
- The following criteria will be judged by the panel:
- Originality
- This is to ensure the novelty and ingenuity of the product.
- Practicality
- This includes the practicality and usage of the product for the benefit of the community and its ability to enhance better and more comfortable living.
- This includes the attractiveness of the product in terms of the selection of its name, color, practicality, user friendliness, packaging etc.
- Has a social impact and usefulness in giving a solution to the problem.
- presentation of product
- The presentation should be brief, clear and concise.
- Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely and manage to answer judges’ question effectively
- Creativity
- The participants need to have creativity and innovative ideas in developing a product.
- The judge’s decision is final, and any compliment will not be entertained.
